Usually ships in 1-2 business days | | | | | | Völkl's Power Bridge 8 is a power machine for dominant top-spin tennis at a high level. The new Power Bridge technology makes the racquet significantly stronger - but without taking anything away from the legendary "Völkl feel". The weight and balance are suitable above all for players who hit a wide range of powerful shots from the baseline, but the racquet is also quick and easy to handle at the net. Power Bridge Technology: The secret of Power Bridge lies in two components. The first is the tried-and-tested DNX technology, which is now being used in the bridge of the racquet head for the first time. Second, the designers at Völkl Tennis have succeeded in reducing the cross-section of the bridge without losing stability. The quantity of expansion resin which functions as the binding agent to bond the yoke to the rest of the frame to form a unit remains completely unchanged here. The only difference is the higher compaction of the matrix. In conjunction with the power features of DNX this compression produces an enormously solid composite material which optimizes the heart of the racquet, thereby investing the entire racquet with more power. | | | |

I've been using this racquet for a few months and really enjoy it. My previous racquet was a Head Radical. Before that I used the Volkl Tour 8 (which I still have and use on occasion, but it's gotta be 10+ years old). This PB 8 plays similarly to the Head. A little more power, more spin, but a little less accuracy. All around good court shots--volleys, very good for serving, and solid for groundstrokes. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the wide beam construction, but it's okay.
