5The Light-Blue Grip That Does Not Slip  Mar 22, 2012 By P. Guardino "pissed off consumer"
First off, Tourna Grip is not a replacement grip for your factory installed one. If you are looking to completely replace the original grip, you'd be looking at Tourna Tour Grip, Tourna Pro, Tourna Re-Grip, etc. Generally a fully padded, factory grip replacement comes one-in-a-package. So any "grip" packaged by the dozens for a fantastic price like Tourna Grip is an overgrip, meant to act as a thin skin and refreshen your grip once it starts to wear/fray/tear, and is not made to last like your factory grip regardless of manufacturer.

I avoided Tourna-products for a while, as I was told by someone I trusted to stay away from the colored grips. When I saw a few commercials for Tourna Grip it piqued my curiosity. Still I thought, "if this overgrip is really worth a damn, I need to see their athletes actually using it." A few days later I caught the finals of the BNP Paribas Open, which two of Tourna's athletes (Victoria Azarenka and John Isner) had fought their way into. Sure enough, both athletes were sporting the light-blue grip. I bought a roll later that day.

I love Tourna Grip. It's soft, not too tacky and insanely absorbent. Just for fun I decided to see what would happen if I gripped my racquet immediately after washing my hands (without drying them, they were pretty soaked), and it literally just sucked all the water up--an instantly dry, tacky grip even with overly moist hands.

The only downside is that Tourna Grip is super thin, and because it does such a great job of gripping your hand will tend to fray and tear up sooner than other overgrips might. Still, the life of a Tourna Grip overgrip for average and even some more aggressive players is probably somewhere around 2 weeks to a month...honestly, this is one of the best overgrips I have tried to date.

5Amazing overgrip for any tennis player  Aug 27, 2011 By S. Gao "Tennis Addict"
I have been using tourna grip for a couple of years now and I honestly love this brand and the feel of it. I have tried other brands including prince, wilson, and gamma so from personal experience and preference I go for tourna grip. Many people may complain that it is not thick enough or long-lasting but I have to disagree.

I understand their concerns but that is how tourna grip is made and being an overgrip, it will not last as the original grip. I change my overgrip about once a month but I have meet some people who change it every time they play or every few days so it is natural to go through a lot of overgrip. For a more permanent grip, I would recommmend a replacement grip.

Love the brand and the feel. It is the perfect amount of tackiness and a subtle feel when playing. On a hot day, I can trust the grip to maintain tackiness and give me a great grip even when I am sweating profusely.

5Go with the best  May 08, 2012 By Ray Sullivan
I've tried other brands, but this blue grip is truly great. Take it from John Isner, The Bryans, Pete Sampras et al, it adds a measure of confidence to your game.

5Used for Years  Mar 28, 2012 By Loretta Savary
I've used this for years on my tennis racket - I love the way it absorbs - as I play mostly in Florida - an extremely humid state. Now I use it on my picklball paddles and have the same success. I'll keep using Tourna Grip cause if it works - why change it? Great buy here on Amazon.

3Thin Tacky Grips  Dec 29, 2009 By Nano
I live in California so the weather here is not super humid. They work ok as a tacky overgrip but many tennis players I know in the midwest region says Tourna Grips are perfect for their type of climate. I play tennis everyday so I put on a lot of wear and tear on my grip. They are slightly too thin for me and they wear out so easily.
